Full Grain Leather Many boots in the TCX touring range have 'full grain' leather uppers, this material comes from the best quality part of the hide. The special tanning treatments then give the leather the necessary qualities of water repellence and breathability, offering a high level performance of comfort, protection and durability. Technology Comfort Fit System Products in the touring range are manufactured using technologies that ensure a high qulaity fit: the Comfort Fit System ('form moulding') through which the upper is shaped on a mould that replaces the anatomy of the human foot. The touring range is therefore extremely versatile and high quality, with high tech products that can also be used casually and in the city. Gore-Tex Membrane This fine material has important features such as long-term waterproofing capacity, excellent resistance to the most extreme temperatures high resistance to wear and tear. The special microporous structure of the Gore Tex fabric in expanded PTFE contains around 1.4 thousand million  microscopic pores per square centermetre. The pores are approximately 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapour. So while water cannot penetrate the Gore Tex membrane in liquid form, sweat water vapour can easily evaporate. This results in a completely waterproof barrier that means the boot can be used in all climates, guaranting maximum comfort and optional breathability.
