IMPORTANT SIZING ADVICE Due to the nature of the product helmets cannot be returned, One drop or bump can cause damage that, although invisible to the naked eye, could render the equipment a lot less effective and safe and unsuitable for sale. Ensure that you measure your childs head properly to make sure the helmet will fit them. HOW TO MEASURE YOUR HEAD Measuring somebodys head is easy but it is essential that the tapemeasure is in the correct place. Measure the circumferance of the head from just above the eyebrows, Just below where you would normally wear a hat of headband. The measurments should be taken in centimeters. Helmets are one article of clothing that MUST NOT BE BOUGHT TOO BIG a poorly fitting helmet will not be effective, it is better to have a budget helmet that fits well than an expensive one that fits poorly in the terms of safety. If the measurments are between centimeters, go up one, you obviously won't get a helmet smaller than their head measurment on! WHEN YOU GET THE HELMET Its easiest to put the helmet on by holding it purely by the straps and pulling them apart as much as you can then pulling it onto the head. It is meant to be tight! Dont worry about those chipmunk cheeks the padding at the side of the helmet will give up to 10percent in the first few hours of useage, this is why its important the helmet must be fitted correctly. Many kids will find the experience claustrophobic, it takes a bit of getting used to. The danger area is the forehead, if a helmet becomes too tight of the forehead this area will not ever give and will cause a headachey pressure. |
