The jacket has plenty of room for full body armour of the rider's choosing. The arms are generously cut to house and allow for elbow and shoulder pads. The chest and back area of the Automatic jacket has ample room for padding or full body armour.

An inner removable waterproof membrane ensures the rider remains dry and comfortable during the odd shower or persistent rain. When the weather improves and the summer season starts the rider will want to remove the waterproof membrane and have a cooler ride. After removal of the waterproof inner membrane the Ixon Automatic jacket becomes a breathable temperature-controlled paradise. The threat of dehydration reduces considerably and the journeys water supply can be consumed over a longer duration. Safety, protection and comfort have all been dealt with now and the rider can create their own jacket depending on the conditions.
