The chin vent is opened by placing a finger under base of the vent in the identation provided and lifting the vent flap until a resistance is felt. This will open the flap to approximately 45 degrees, sufficient to give good ventilation to the chin and face.

Caution: Undue pressure should not be used, or the vent opener passes the point where resistance can be felt. Failure to observe this amy result in damage to the vent.

Two inlet top vents and two air exhaust vents are fitted to this Arashi helmet. The inlet vents can be opened and closed by moving the slider on top of the vent.

The Arashi helmet has been designed to absorb energy in the event of an impact. If the helmet is involved in any form of impact, even accidentally dropping it on to the hard ground, although the outer shell may not appear to be damaged the shock-absorbing quality of the helmet may be compromised. Arashi strongly recommend that the helmet be charged if it suffers any impact.

This helmet has been manufactured using state-of-the-art materials and techniques. It is approved to the European Community standard CE22-05.
However, no helemt can guarantee absolute safety. The helmets function is to reduce the severity of injury in an accident. Some impact forces may exceed the criteria of the CE standard and, therefore, reduce the ability of the helmet to protect against injury. Please bare this in mind when riding on your motorcycle.

To ensure maximum protection, it is important that your helmet is a snug and reasonably tight fit. It should not be so large that it can be moved easily by rotating the helmet or moving it laterally in a vertical movement at the front or rear, neither should it be so small that it constricts or is painful to wear for a long time.

A helmet will not offer protection if the helmet comes off your head in the event of anaccident. The cin strap should be carefully adjusted to suit your preference. It is important that you make sure that the chin strap retention mechanism is securely closed when riding.
